Anybody interested in trying something new can enjoy a huge array of outdoor activities which of them include rafting, canyoneering, hang gliding, mountain biking or sledding alpine  slides  even in the summer. In winter, Abtenau is one of Austria's most beautiful resort towns.

One of Austria's most modern ski lifts has been built in Abtenau: a combination of a six-person chairlift and an eight-person cable car will transport guests to the mountaintop year-round to go skiing and hiking as well as sledding.
